FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

McKinley Sound Opens Doors April 4

McKinley Sound will hold its grand opening on Thursday, April 4, 2013.

Salt Lake City, Utah – The much anticipated grand opening of McKinley Sound, located at 366 South 500 East, Suite 103 in downtown Salt Lake City will be Thursday, April 4th. McKinley Sound will specialize in custom built guitars as well as stringed instrument repair and providing music lessons.

A graduate of the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery, owner Moses McKinley has been working full-time since 2009 building custom acoustic and electric guitars and doing repair work on a variety of stringed instruments for Guitar Technologies (Taylorsville), Guitar Center (Salt Lake City) and Riff’s Acoustic Music (Park City). “I started taking guitars apart as soon as I started playing them at the age of 14,” says McKinley, who is also the mandolin player for the local folk punk band Folk Hogan. “Having a formal education has really set me apart and allowed me to really run elbows with some of the excellent Luthiers in the valley.” Because of his reputation as one of the top luthiers in the state, he has worked on thousands of instruments, including guitars for many touring bands including Molotov Solution, The Vibrators, and Imagine Dragons.

McKinley Sound is located at 366 South 500 East, Suite 103 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Call 435-671-3601 for appointment.
